Amusing as always but …
even in humor I much doubt that the use of Gitmo as an example of constitutional “rights” violation is valid.
These ppl (?) are NOT citizens and have NEVER taken an oath to pretect the const. and I fail to see why the US Constitution should cover them.
It doesn’t and was never meant to.

In response to jayd, please allow me to quote from the Declaration of Independence:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
All men - all people. UNalienable rights. I don’t see anything to suggest that Canadian, Chinese, Brazilian, Pakistani, or any other citizen of a foreign country has less rights when under the presumed authority of the US.

As for today’s explaination, I was only disappointed by the brief mention of ‘daylight savings time’ without a word about how silly the concept is and how much trouble it causes for people who try to adapt many types of electronic equipment to conform to the outdated practice.
Uncle Jay seemed a bit snarkier this week, though I can’t say I blame him.

Heh, Gitmo!
Some people seem determined to ignore the facts that these people aren’t US citizens, were never on American soil (like that should somehow make a difference), aren’t on American soil now (we don’t own Cuba!), and never qualified for Geneva protections (shoulda worn a uniform… But wait! That would mean you’re part of a country, and those can be b o m b e d!)
Unfortunately Gitmo isn’t very funny to most people…
BUT..!
Uncle Jay still made me laugh for the rest. The montage of presidential candidates was priceless. And thank goodness those writers avoided not going on strike!
